This week in Bartitsu:

As I will be attending, teaching and learning at GEARcon this weekend, Lew Cottell will be my substitute in class this week. If you missed him last time in May, Lew is a teacher of Modern Arnis, and will impart his style of stick fighting and related unarmed techniques. Arnis, along with Kali and Escrima, is a part of Filipino Martial Arts (FMA), famous for single and double-stick combat. As the spirit of Bartitsu is to adopt what works for gentleman’s self-defense, we welcome his perspective and expertise.
